Landscape and Light

When I looked out of the window at 5:30am on this October morning all I saw was rain. Despite the unpromising conditions I was awake so, I reasoned, I might as well go out. I headed for Surprise View, where I knew there would be some tree cover, and waited. Eventually, there was a break in the cloud and I could see this patch of light advancing down the side of Maiden Moor.
