Dawn, Thirlmere

Thirlmere is not generally considered to be one of the most beautiful of the Lakes but that does mean it is less photographed than many of the others. On this particular morning I was treated to a very brief and beautiful show of intense colour; an exposure of 25 seconds ensured the choppy waters were smoothed to enhance the reflected colour.
